Default someone with a 2001-whatever help please

A friend of mine had a stray dog that decided to make her truck a chew toy. I'll post pictures of it later because I didn't belive it till I saw it. this dog chewed up 3 out of 4 O2 sensors, the main engine harness and the harness going to the cab from the computer. this is where I need help. there is a sensor or something like it on the harness in between the computer and the cab, it has one black wire and one purple wire going to it. it is also the only thing wired into this portion of the harness. I dont know where it goes if anywhere. there is a resistor and a fuse in it, but other then that I have no idea what it may be. the dog chewed it up and it was left dangling from one of the wires. if anyone knows what this is please help me out.

Greg

Yeah, a picture would help. There's too many wires in too many systems to just look up Purple wires in all the various schematics.
