mines???.... what mines?.......

me and the beast...

here is a picture of me and one of my troops changing an engine.. we are on top of the engine fuselage... so you cant really see anything... heh.

another picture of the engine change, we use those hoists to bring the front and back of the engine up/down, they weigh like 60lbs each... its a bitch bringing them to the top of the plane, up a ladder...

sorry if you guys are getting sick of the Afghanistan related material... wait until i get my other pictures developed.... heheheh.

and to leave you with this awesome insert:

I didnt catch what branch you are in??? My younger brother is in the Marines, he operates/ fires the javelin. That is unfortunately all I know. He just got back from Guantanamo (sp??) Bay. He will be sent to Afghanistan in May for a 6 month deployment. Who knows how long it really will be. His last deployment was 3 months longer than was scheduled. Im very upset about it. He is opting to go and postpone surgery on his foot to remove a cyst. Sorry about the rambling pointless babble, just hoping you could share something reassuring, he wont listen to me. Im really thinking about hurting him when he takes leave in a few weeks. Im just very upset about this whole thing. I know it is his job and he is ensuring our freedom and it is f*cked up to not want him to go since so many others have gone to protect our freedom. Sorry for the rambling.

i'm in the air force...

and about your brother, he should be good here... i mean it sucks, and there have been some attacks, but nothing to big.. everyday we make more and more progress to a better country.

they have built all kinds of stuff here.... nothing i could enjoy since they are just now getting done with it... but the quality of life has improved alot...

i'm sure your brother looks at it as an opportunity to explore the world, see new cultures, make some money and most importantly... kick some ***.

Are you originally from AZ or is that just where you are going to be stationed at? Another question for you, why is your fellow troop member wearing those goggles?

Oh yeah onyx, good luck to you on your return to the states!

I remember when my family and I went to Cali (road trip) to visit my grandmother when I was about 14-16 yrs old. We went through AZ going down I-10 and there was a sand storm going on. My dad could hardly see and almost blew us off the road. I can just imagine what they are like over there.
