Smoothing a truck intake manifold?

... has anybody done it? Granted, there is only so much that can be done... but just wondering if anybody has done it and if they have pics to share.

If I remember correctly something he smoothed down ended up putting a small hole in it, but he just filled it.

That looks pretty good... and looks like it would be pretty easy to keep clean plus get rid of the Vortec cover. That will definitely clean things up a bit when I reroute my harness.
