Default Should I buy a used 05 or a new 06???

Has anything changed in the past few years that would make it harder for me to modify an 06 5.3?? I am just waiting on a few deals to go through for me so that I can buy my new chevy truck, but I want to do it right. And I would like to have a brand new truck unless something happened in 06 that is going to make it harder for me to go FAST!!

I'm not worried about cost right now. I am just curious to know if anything has changed in 06 that would make it harder for me to mod the truck.

I would save the money, get a used one depending on the interest rate. Then use the extra money on mods.

Depends on the deal. You see my choice though.

I'll be getting an 06 whenever someone buys the truck I have now, which isnt looking too good

if anything 05+ is better for modding IMO... already comes with e-fan so thats one mod you dont have to do

Very true!

I do like the 05's with a paint matched grill shell, billet grill and bowtie with the SS front bumper cover and a cowl hood! If your not going to do it like that, the 06 looks way better IMO.

That's exactly what I was going to say... get a STS or a Supercharger. You'll be much faster than the stock '06 and may still come in under the price tag.
