She just backed right into it!!!

Well, I just made the first payment 2 days ago and this morning she leaves in a hurry, you know, new baby late for work, cold outside. Throws the Tahoe down in the "R" and backs right into my 04 crew cab. Pushed the front bumper in and down at the back corners. Broke all the clips holding the lower valance.
Well. I Stopped by the dealer body shop. Tech said I would need a new bumper, no adjustment could be made, "its just bent". Wanted to see for myself so came home to take it off. Anyway, bought all the little clips to put the valance back on. Damn expensive - 2 part job - $4 for each part = $8 per clip. Needed 6 of them.....
Parts guy was nice enough to throw in a free duplicate key because of the price.
On the way home, stopped at the local hot rod / body shop in my town to talk to a body guy I know there and get a 2nd opinion. He came out and took a look. Went and got a body bar with a pull chain. Hooked it up in the slots on the front of the bumper and pulled it right back out and down where is was supppose to be. Even pulled out the small wave in the chrome from the point of impact. Was pretty sweet. Only had to pop the 6 new clips in the valance and looks like new again. No charge, just a hand shake and an "I owe you one".
GM really should make the bumper a bit more impact resistant. She was only 3 feet away at most and couldn't have been going that hard when she hit it.
Bumper just pushed back and down about an inch....
Well anyway, the Tahoe shows no sign of anything. Glad I didnt have the drop hitch on the Tahoe. She would have fish-hooked the whole thing. At least the back bumper is sturdy.... I have ragged her enough tonight and I will never park behide her again....

yeah my wife has learned that leason too.....
it sucks but it is the only way they will learn to pay attention
it sits in the back of their mind believe it or not. my wife thought i was gonna rip her a new one when she did the same thing to my other truck. after a while she asked me if i was gonna say something.
i said nah. i figured you worrying about whats gonna happen is punishment enough. after all it is just a truck and she was allright. im just glad it was mine and not someone elses or a bigger wreck.

Sorry to hear the bad luck. Gotta warn my friend, he's trading in his 02 ECSB, Silverado for a Tahoe.
No big deal condsidering his other car is a 03 or 04 Mustang GT which he is afraid to run me in.
The trade in is going to benefit me though. Get a set of rims and some fairly new 305's out of it for my rims/ties and a couple of $$$. Stand by for pics later this week.
