Default sharing some of my races - good & bad

My first real race was when a few people were at my best friend's house. His grandma had bought a 2001 ext. cab GMC w/ a 5.3 (285hp) and 3.73 gears (everything stock). Mine a 1999 Chevy ext. cab w/ 5.3 (270hp-stock) 3.42s, dual glasspacks and a K&N filter w/ the stock intake.
We lined up on a straight black-top road, it was a cool night. When we took off, we both spun about 5-10 feet. We were dead even until 60mph, we raced until 85 & his headlights were about 5 feet from the back of my truck. That kinda shocked me, I thought it would be even. Then I put the K&N FIPK, Jet Chip, and flowmasters on my truck. We raced again on the same road until ~65mph on a real humid/warm day. I spun about 15-20 feet, my friend left me by about 2 trucks off the line and I gained about 1 truck until the end. I was pissed.

A few days ago I raced an ext. cab (don't know what size engine) with duals. It looked like this punk kid I've seen before so I wanted to embarass the hell out of him in front of the 2 girls that were with him. We both punched it about the same time at about 25-30mph, I freakin' left him by about 3-4 carlengths until ~65. Then I let off and seen him coming. I punched it again and he just flew by like I did him earlier. I think he was still punching it when I let off. He didn't want to line back up, cause he just kept going. It pissed me off, because I know that little punk thinks he got the best of me. But, I'll get him next time.

Anyone else have any racing stories or been racing lately?

Only one this weekend for me. It was a 99+ Mustang. I was under the impression it was a debaged GT because it had a dual exhuast. But it turns out it was a v6. I found out when he stepped on it. It purred like a kitten. Anyhow, we went from from a 20mph roll and put many carlengths on him to about 80.
I hate it when people see your brake light come on and yet they still keep going. Typical ricer fly by.

Yea, and they think they're faster than you cuz they did that gay ****. HAH. I lost count of how many times I'll smoke some poser, then he'll fly by me and turn his hazards on or ask, "what happened?" having a big grin on his face like his 6-banger beat me. HAHAH

I had a ricer do a flyby on me the other night. My kids were in the truck, so I don't screw around with the speed when they are there. But, I got sweet revenge when he made a bad lane choice and I got in front of him in a left turn only lane. A nice burnout while waiting for the green to turn yellow really pissed him off. Especially when after the light turned red and he had to sit through it again, I just turned into the Stop & Rob, rolled down the window and stared at him. He was so mad, he missed second trying to show his temper after the light turned green. The whole time my 7 yr old was yelling "TURD, TURD...", and my 2 yr old was saying "DUMB KIDS" I was so proud of us I almost shed a tear.

Anybody ever get smoked by a jeep? I raced with a dude from around here the other day, he has a jeep Late 70's early 80's, and he handed me my own a$$. Of course his dad is big into racing dirt track and they built a 350 with leftover race car parts. He has even got big all terrains on it. I have a r/c 5.3 with cam , headers, exhaust and k and N. We raced two times. From a stop, I used the predator shift program and I think i did the most awesome one wheel burnout. I spun so bad that he left me and I got ticked off and never let up and you could not even see the road for all of the smoke. I am still trying to get melted rubber off the bottom of my truck. We raced again, from a roll, I took out predator program, and got on the shoulder where there would be better traction but he still got me. If i could get traction and use the predator I guess i might could put up a better fight. Atleast I lost to Chevy power.

Speaking of hemis, I raced one on interstate today. We were going about 65 when we punched it. He punched it about a second or two before me and just left me! By the time we hit about 85 he had about 2 or 3 trucks on me! It was a big 4x4 ext. cab. I was so pissed . I don't understand it. I raced a single cab hemi before I had my cam and headers, from ~25 to ~40 and pulled alot for just a short sprint. Is it my 3.42 gears vs. his 3.92 gears, tuning with my cam or what?

That is odd. I have driven 2 Hemi's and they are turds up there. Something just does not seem right.
