Default SES LIGHT and remote start not working?

the light has come on twice on my way home today and now the remote start isn't working? Any thoughts on what it is? I will be bringing it to get the code checks as soon as I can. But want ot know whats going on cause it gets driven alot. Its a work truck.

It would help to know what make and model truck it is. You could be talking about one of those Japanese mini trucks for all I know. But if you mean a 07+ new body style truck then anytime you get a power train related DTC your remote start will not work until the issue is fixed and or the code is cleared or goes away on its own.

Sorry yes it's a new body style chevy, it's a 07 now the light goes off and on and now the start works.
