Default Seriously Considering 6.0 ECSB (Not SS)

I made the mistake of going by the dealership today and looking at a Victory Red ECSB Silverado with the 6.0, 4L65E Tranny, 3.73, locker, 20" wheels, Bose sound, leather, etc...

We are real close on on price and I wanted to get some input from anyone that has driven or owns or has evan looked at one of these. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My opinion is, if you want it, get it! Looking at you sig., you've basically the same truck with a modded 4.8L. Now picture it with a 345 hp 6.0L in it! Do you like that picture? I wanted a new truck, I was tired of my Silverado and wanted some thing totally different as far a brand went. I bought a Hemi Ram Quad Cab and love it, no regrets what so ever! Life is to short, if you want the truck and can afford the truck, **** it, buy it!

If they had one of those around when I bought mine last year, I would have gotten it.

I think XFACTOR has a truck like that. I'm with Y2K on this, if you can afford it, buy it!

I just bought one. Very nice truck. You should be able to get $8000 off MSRP if your good.

Check the dealership thru gmbuypower.com and see if you can get a better deal thru their internet sales. Might also scan thru the lots of other dealerships... I save $2,200 by driving 100 miles to buy mine.

As for the truck, it is quite exciting to drive, way faster than my modded 99. Mileage is less, sticker is 14-18, my average is 16.5.

In case you don't know (I did not), the frame is "K" style - torsion bar front suspension (same as SS).

Thanks for the help guys. I am also looking at a GM truck with the same package. The GM styling is more to my liking as is the silver color. Cloth seats in this one, which is what I prefer also. Decisions. Decisions. I think we have come to end of the negotiations. I am getting the GM supplier discount, the $4000 rebate, and we are haggling over trade-in on my truck, which is getting pretty close to where I need it.

Round Rock is a sub of Austin. I am fame for a GTG in SA or Austin though.

Good Luck Jim !!! I hope you get what you want out of the deal. I really want one of those trucks too. The first dealer tried to rip me, so I haven't checked lately. I'd like to get rid of both vehicles and get down to one, but can't fathom the loss on trade-ins (upside down).
