I read that seat covers were hard to find...wondered if it was still true. I was looking for something fairly inexpensive. Thanks for the link.

The Katzkin covers go on in place of the stock seat covers. I think for my truck, I'm looking at ~$750. That includes the 2 front buckets and armrests, rear seats, and matching door inserts. I think that the price is very fair and I understand that the fit is exceptional.

They don't go over your current cloth if that is what you mean. You take off what you got and these install in their place. You can personalize the crap out of these. I had them send me a sample book a while back the leather seems really pretty good, and they have some relly cool custom touches you can do.

Inserts, piping, custom stitching, headrest embroidery etc...

Question

And.......this is something you can install yourself? That doesn't seem to be an easy upgrade to do on your own.

There's another company called Wet Okole Hawaii http://wetokole.net/page/WOH/PROD/CHEV/CHEVTRUCKF
I don't know anyone who has used them, so I can't say how good they are. ...even with them, you're looking at ~$260 for just the front seats if you have buckets. They may offer rear seats, but it's hard to tell. Plus, the seat covers are neoprene vs. Katzkin's Leather.

Depending on how sturdy the seat frame is and how tight the cover is, I'm sure it can be a pain in the a*s, but it doesn't take an artisan. I would think you could do it on your own.
