Seat Belt alarm

Question Seat Belt alarm

Does anyone know how to turn off the seat belt alarm? It is freakin annoying.

i don't think you can. check the fusebox for a dedicated circuit.
or wear a seatbelt

Wearing my seatbelt usually turns it off.

Well of course wearing the seat belt turns it off, I just get tired of driving around the farm and it dinging all the time!

mine only dings once, then you can press a button the the steering wheel or the button on the cluster, to clear it, and it doesnt ding for awhile after that,im pretty sure its built into the cluster and or radio, so i dont think you can disable it

theres prolly a wire on the female part that you click the male in.. prolly just find the wires and contact them or something

go to the junkyard and cut a seat belt and take the male part, click it in yours and be done.

+1, pretty sure that the switch is in the female part of the buckle, you should be able to jump it out or ground it, depending on how it's activated (open or closed)

My friend had a 99-02 (some where in there) and it told us how to make the truck not automatically lock when it went ito drive in the owners manual. Maybe it says something about the seat belt chime in there too?

its possible mine are dissabled from chiming, just the warning on the dash comes on
