Default Searching dealer inventory?

I've tried using GMBuypower to search dealer inventory without success. The tool is too limited in its search functions. I know the dealers have a much more powerful search tool. I believe the dealership can input the specfic options and search a radius a big as they want. Does anyone know if there a way I can access the dealer search tool via the internet or do I have to actually go to the dealership? I'm trying to avoid interaction with sales people until I'm ready to buy and if I can't find the truck I don't want to waste anyone's time. Thanks for the help.

well if you had someone's login and knew the URL of their site you could use their search engine, but assuming that you don't you just gotta goto a dealership. just find someone that's young and tell them you wanna search for a specific vehicle. I've tried to deal with older salesmen cuz that's all that was at Ron Carter, and I knew more about the truck i was looking for than they did. one guy thought the vortecmaxx was a diesel. sad huh?

Thanks for the help guys. If there is anyone on here with access to this search tool and would be willing to work with me I would appreciate it. I'm pretty particular with what I want and I don't want to go in and deal with sales at this point. I would like to see if the exact truck I want is available then talk money. If anyone is near St. Louis, MO and can further help me I would greatly appreciate it.

All most all dealers have a webpage, I know ours does. I'm new the sales business, been doing it for about 8 months. jakebdb56 is right if you do have to go to a dealership look for the young salesman, we're the one's with out the oldschool salesman habbits and more than willing to give you any information you need. Your best bet is to call the dealers and ask them if they have a website where you can search there inventory... good luck in your search
