Default seafoam check engine light

Well i seafoamed my truck, i have done the can in the gas multiple times with no problems, but i finally grew a pair and did the half can thru the brake booster vacuum line...smoked like usual, shut it off for 15 min to soak in, started it and ran like crap for 5 minutes and i drove it hard for like 15 minutes. Came home, ate lunch...let it sit like 20 minutes off... and then started it up and left it idle for 5 minutes (real rough idle) and then the SES light came on solid. Went to advanced autoparts and got the following codes scanned:
P0300 random cylinder misfire
P0131 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1
P0171 bank system too lean
..Since the random misfire didnt say a specific cylinder, it all kinda points to a bad 02 sensor. My driver side catalytic converter has been knocking for sometime and failing lol and i think this might have finally killed it, resulting in burning out the 02... could you guys enlighten me on exactly what the last 2 codes mean? I dont know specifics like what is bank 1, too lean, sensor 1, etc.

I should add too, that it drives fine, smooth. It runs fine at WOT and the light just stays solid. But it idles like complete crap.
Idles fine when the motor is cold, so the o2 is still cold too and then as it warms and hits closed loop, then the garbage idle comes back

Seafoam can kill spark plugs pretty easy. The carbon that you burned off can get onto the plug it cause it to misfire.

I'd replace all spark plugs, clear the codes and see what comes back. Likely the o2 code, the p0131 is a low circut code and that maybe a reason you see a lean code aswell because it's not working correctly.

As mentioned after a proper seafoam you need to replace oil and spark plugs. Had a similar experience with my truck not long ago.

Sorry my bad, i did the oil change afterwards... and ok, well it got new plugs and wires about 5 months ago but i will still change them and i went to every auto parts store in town and NONE of them will clear the codes, only read them. Against company rules or w/e... I'll change the plugs this week, see about clearing the codes, and I'll follow up with you guys... thanks!

Invest in a cheapo 20 dollar scanner, toss it in the glove box.

And use the internet to research the codes, or even your phone if you are away from home. It will pay for itself in no time.

You can normally clear the DTC's by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

Bank 1, sensor 1 means: driver side, front O2

P0131 low voltage can mean several things, but considering you got this after using the seafoam (and that a p0171 is present), the sensor has probably failed and you need to replace it.

Default fixed!

Well pulled the plugs and passenger side was allllll white tipped bad. And the drivers side was black as night and built up carbon. Used a friends code scanner and data logger that showed while driving my driver's side before cat was not responding at all. Pulled it, BLACK and full of carbon. Put in a new denso and cleared the codes. Runs GREAT now, exhaust doesnt smell rich anymore, idles smooooooth as butter too. Looks like im set
Thanks guys

What do you mean by a low circuit code? I am having electrical problems with my 03 Chevy 5.3 right now, 1) the alternator just went out, it has stamped on the alternator 105 A 12 V and some other numbers? I just cant see my truck having the 105 Amp alternator seeing how it has heated/power driver & passenger seats, onstar, auto/heated fold-in mirror's, digital ac, bose, every option you can get pretty much, it was a special ordered truck. I started noticing several months ago that if the ac is on 75 driver and 75 passenger and I try to turn the drivers side up to 80 it will go to 76,77,78,74,76, and finally I can get it to 80 where I wanted it, the passenger side does the same thing.

My gauge cluster is messed up and I haven't had the time or money to mess with it, I was coming back in-town from the country and saw a junkyard, stopped in and it was an older man that owned it and he said go on back there and see if I have what you need, I found 3 different gauge clusters that where like mine, I pulled all of them and when I showed the man what mine was doing he said you can have them, well I have steering wheel control's and I unplugged my cluster and plugged all three of the one's I got in and everyone of them worked except the mileage (which I knew would be off) but my steering wheel controls wouldn't work with any of them. I pulled mine out about 4-5 days ago and put one of the other ones in so I could see all my gauges and I left it in for a couple of days while I was going to try to fix mine or get someone too and that's when the batt. light started flashing and it said "system not charging" while I was driving, my volt gauge was at 14 and started going down, luckily I was on my way home and by the time I got home it was close to 9, I have an aftermarket double-din t.v. and it tells me the volt's to and it said 11.1 and the closer I got to the house the t.v. just stated flickering and wouldn't stop.

I figured it was the alternator so I pulled it and it has some black at the bottom of the casing. I haven't went to get it tested yet but I just cant see it being a 105 A alternator with all the accessories on the truck.

Does anybody have any idea's?
