I would use sand bags to stablize it. My buddy had a standup that didn't have a trailer. 4X4s would slip to the sides and let the ski lay over. He tried put a cross board to hold it but he didn't like that either. Get a trailer before putting it in the water!!! WHAT A PITA!!! Especially on slick cement launches...

I would also load in in backwards so that more of the weight is towards the front of the box and you have the squared off end of the ski against the front of the box. This way might also take some load from th gate cables.

i live at my summer home all summer and it gets boring half way through the summer. i keep telling myself to get a new toy to play with on the lake. i know if i don't buy one soon, i will kick my self in the butt this summer if i don't have one.

it will be permenately on my beach at my cottage. so it will be nice not to have a trailer.
