Default rusty pedals?

first of all my truck is 2 years old. my gas and brake pedals have been rusty for about a year and a half now. just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem. i have 35k miles on the truck right now and my warranty exp. at 36k. i'm thinking about bringing it in to have them changed if the warranty covers that.

nope never.... maybe they didnt get coated for some odd reason, bc i beleive its prepped and painted black just like you would the exterior of a vehicle. You mean under the stock rubber its rusted or did your have metal pedals to begin with?

sorry i didn't explain better. it's the brackets that hold the rubber part. come to think of it i think they might have been bare metal now that you say it.

They should've been coated from the factory. I'd definitely get that checked out while you have warranty left.

My trucks gas and brake pedal are also pretty rusted. WTF? Might be an 03' thing My truck is also around 35Kmi so I'll have to check that out at the dealer too before warranty expires. Let me know how it goes bluecajun5.3 or how you fix this problem.

The pedals on my '02 did the same thing. Looked like . They were just bare metal from the factory. I finally just sprayed 'em with some paint.

It' pretty common, about the only thing the dealer is going to do is spray paint them. If I were you I would just do it myself, I wouldnt trust anyone but myself inside my truck with a paint can.
