I have had the same problem with mine since i bought it from the dealer ship, one time that i took it in for repair, i told the advisor, and they told me to take it to their body shop and warranty would cover it,

Pedals are rusty but that dont bother me as much as the rusty spindles, centerlink, tie rods. top of rear differential, etc. on my 05.

They're all uncoated and just went to crap in a hurry. I wont be painting all that stuff, toto much of a hassle and not a show truck or anything. I'll just lower the bitch and hide it.

Dont think i'd spray bomb pedals in my truck, though. If anything I think i'd just brush em. My luck i'd have overspray on the interior even if I saran wrapped the whole damn thing.

The raw carbon steel brackets from the pedals and your dash supports rust because of the humidity in the air. Its just a little surface rust. Worry not brother, my 2000 did it too. My dash supports even behind the cluster have surface rust on it. It is quite frustrating but not on my "to do" list any time soon.

i'm not worried about it falling apart or breaking. it's just kinda sad to see rust on them b/c you pay so much money for the truck and i also take extreamly good care of my stuff.

Definately dude. They need to do something about it like paint it the vehicle color during assembly. Like said previously, you pay a buch of money to get a nice truck and this cheap crap happens. Start a petition!!! LOL
