Had a very brief encounter with one of these this afternoon.

Basically I was stopped at a light beside him and when it went green he did a spirited take off(BMW talk
) . I just sort of paced beside him until I heard his exhaust note pick up and I started to lay on the throttle a little harder. By the time I realized he was going he was up to the front of the truck and didn't gain any more ground after that. I had to let up off the gas for a second and he did pull ahead during that moment but, once the pedal went back down he didn't pull. It was interesting, I thought they were faster than that but, I guess not.
I've seen some quarter times in the low 14's at 98mph or so. This truck pulls damn hard through second gear, really feels good until I get behind the wheel of my Camaro and come back to reality.
I think I hurt his ego a bit by sticking with him like that because at the next light he didn't look over, pulled up further than me so we couldn't see each other, and took off like a 90 yr old man in a model T.
I took off HARD just in case though.
Fun little run and it was in the same area all my other runs come in, it's like the brickyard down through that stretch.

i had a quick run today with a total piece of crap integra.... steelies in front, unpainted driver side door, fart can exhaust.......the whole package.....
was from a 90 punch, and well, i ofcourse was pulling (duh).....but a truck and that piece of crap from a 90 punch is like watching snails go at it....
you know, I wouldnt mind owning a piece of junk, thats fine with me, gets me there, save gas, I can zoom around, blah blah..... but trying to race the damn things is just, i dunno, pathetic....

That's running good. Those Z4's are fairly quick. At least I am sure they run all over the Z3's. You probably scared him onto the net looking for a supercharger upgrade
