I have a 05 silverado 4x4 ext cab and i was looking into installing a roll pan but i want to keep the the hitch on. Anyone done this? Pics and comments much appreciated!!

I believe you need to get a hidden hitch kit and then a roll pan that has a hole cutout behind the licence plate for the hitch.

 

The roll pan I used had an area that you could finish cutting out behind the license plate like Ferocity02 said. The license plate would have a hinge on the bottom with a spring holding it up. You would just pull the plate down, slide the receiver in, slide the pin in, and you are ready to go. If I ever thought about towing I would have done it, but this truck will never pull anything.

I used a Hidden Hitch with my roll pan. Worked great!
