Resetting "check engine oil level" light

Default Resetting "check engine oil level" light

I just got my trans rebuilt this last week and they replaced the rear main on my motor since it was leaking..I now have the Check engine oil level light since i got it back..I just changed the oil this weekend so i know its fine...where would the sensor be located? or how can i reset it? Thanks guys

It's on the passenger side of the oil pan, it's a big plug that might have come undone or is loose.

I've been driving with mine on for 6 months at least. It's the sensor on the side of the oil pan I believe. Mine started when I let the starter hang while doing a converter swap, the sensor is on that same harness.

alright thanks..i figured it was around there..i think i had an issue with it when i did the motor swap..ill take a look at it once i have a dry driveway to lay on lol..the gravel lot here at school isnt cutting it..

its just annoying as ****..kinda ruins the esky cluster

If you think that sucks, imagine having your gas gauge moving back and forth randomly and your low gas light coming on all the time. That blows.

Mine is the fuel sending unit in the tank, and I plan on changing fuel pumps sometime this year and will replace it then with the whole fuel pump module.

Mine did too when I first bought it, and indeed it was the sender on the bucket in the tank.

I don't think there is a reset for the oil level light, there is for the change oil light. Could be a bad sender or loose wire or something.
