I found one last weekend. '04 with 9000 miles for $1,250. It was in Houston. I'm sure there is another out there like it. I did find that the deals are not as easy to come by as they were 6 months ago.

I believe that I am going to have some throttle body issues going from the '00 5.3 to the '04 6.0. It's not a huge deal. You just have to make sure you have the same type of throttle body as on your original motor (mechanical or electric), or swap it over.

I don't know if you have EGR on your '01. The newer motors don't have it. That shouldn't cause any problems, except for plugging the hole in your headers.

Headers should fit.

Fortunately for me, I already picked it up. There must have been two of them there. I did run across several similar motors. The next best I found was in Austin. His name was Ty (512) 892-1000. I forgot the name of the yard he was at. They specialized in converting the motors for marine applications.

Remember...There is always a better deal out there.

BTW - I like your truck!

Are you serious? It's hard to tell on e-mail. If so, who was it.

So...Just so eveyone knows. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM MARKET STREET USED AUTO PARTS IN HOUSTON. They apparently sold the same motor at least 2 times.
