Default Replacement Door Actuator

Have a 2000 GMC z71, passenger door will only unlock if you pull the metal bar forward. Stopped locking/unlocking a while back.

Bought a new door lock actuator from NAPA, but it does not have the slide housing on the side or the plunger part attached to the bottom. They look identical otherwise. Can post pictures if need be.

I have searched everywhere to find an answer. Do I need the whole lock assembly?

Same thing happened to me, I had to buy a whole new door latch.

Thank you sir for the fast response.

I put the old one back in and messed with it some. Got the actuator to working, but I suspect there was a hard break in there. The key has no resistance when turning it.
