reduced power
#1
so i pulled out of a gas station today and hammered the gas to get ahead of traffic and my information center said "reduced power" and it went to about 2000 rpms and wouldn't go over 10 mph. i pulled into a parking lot and shut it off then restarted it and it ran fine, but the check engine light stayed on. i went to autozone and got it scanned and code P1515 came up. the guy said it was just a safety feature and it would be fine. any advice?

GM: Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (PCM)
i wouldn't worry about it if it just happend once but if it keeps doing it you might try swaping some parts. i have a complete dbw tb from a 2003 silverado you could try puting on there to see if it fixes it.

Did you ever see that "reduced engine power" light again??? Mine truck did the same thing to me on the freeway onrampm, had to pull over turn it off and wait. Then she drove home fine. What did you do to fix yours??
