Default Ran outta room...

Well, I decided to beat on the truck a little bit today to either make sure it was OK or break something (forcing me to finish the 6.0). Long story short...last night, I went to get gas (In Jersey it's a state law that they pump it for you), and when I came out of the store after buying a pack of butts, I found the idiot pumping regular 87 octane into the tank....about 8 gallons. ( I specifically repeated Ultra 93 two times ). So I had them pump an extra 20 bucks of the 93 in to dilute it, but to no avail. Instantly, I heard pinging, and the truck was a dog (it was about 45* out also, so it's not like coolant temp was an issue.) I swung by K-Mart for some "Octane Booster" (yea right), just for the hell of it. Truck was still a dog. Today I got some open space on the NY State Thruway and decided to let er rip. Some slight pinging when I first punched it, then it took off and ran decent up untill 5k, then I ran out of room (do to traffic) to bury the speedo. I got er up to almost 115, then it started to level out, and I didn't have enough open highway in front of me to bury the needle. I gotta say, it rode real smooth and comfortable at that speed (thank god I didn't hit a potholeo or expansion joint,or my ride would be quite different). I was really hoping to bury the speedo needle, but I guess it wasn't in the cards today. It was still fun though....can't wait ot burn out this tank of gas and try again.

FWIW, I made it to my tattoo appointment on time

I can shut mine down at 150 but it's not all that safe in a truck.I wonder what she could do if i upped the limiter and had the suspension to feel safe that high lol.

speed is a silent killer, you feel all comfy and it's a good smoothe ride at 120, but when somethin breaks, you're f'ed worse than john kerry.

LOL, that's one way to try to make the LQ9 swap move ahead . Sometimes I think if I make my tranny go then I'd have to get a FLT Level 5.
