Default Ram Air ideas

So someone the other day seen a pic of my truck from far away and told me to take off my stick on hood scoops and I went out to take a pic of my hood to Show them they are not those cheap ugly looking things that you 3M to your hood.

This got me thinking of if I can use my hood for a performance gain somehow. As of now there is two layers of fiber glass on this hood but can cut out the inside to allow air to flow In.

Anyone have some ideas of how I could set this up to gain some performance. Was thinking of some thing like this but dont know if Cool Fresh air dropping onto a air filter will do anything or if it has to be a sealed fit to push air into the intake With a inline filter.

Damn posted in wrong section somehow, if a mod see this please move Thanks and sorry
