Default Quick adivce please?

I am going to go look at an 02' Silverado SCSB with 5.3L. I didn't get the miles on it but what kinda price range should I be looking at for this at a dealer? I am at work and can't research on the internet right now. Any help would be great guys.

On KBB it was 12,250. I put in private party, good condition, 50,000 miles and an LS.

Thanks bro

I came up with $17,000 for 43k miles, 5.3L a few options and my zip code of 94533. This was a dealership.. Which we all know is WAAAAY worse than private party.

Crazy thing is all the private party trucks on autotrader and some others people are asking $16-$23 for these trucks. My area sucks sometimes Hahaha

17K seems pretty high to me. I guess you have to go with what the market requires, but I would drive 100 miles or so to save 3-4K at least.

17 is high... I paid $17,900 for my 04 including TTL. I would say you should pay in the 12k range.

Thanks for the help guys. I felt it was kinda high also even though that's still lower than what the dealers up here ask for their cars. It's pretty incredible what they do... A 01' C5 Vette can barely sell for $26k private party yet dealers ask $34k and they will get it!

I picked one up tonight though which is usually against my rules but hey, I liked it. I'll post up a new thread about that though. LOL

If this is your 10 sec. prospect why worry if it's a 5.3? Your going to need more inches anyway. I'll bet there's an 02 rcsb on e-bay for 10 k, but most are 4.8's.

The EX decided she wasn't ready to sell

I ended up paying $12.5k for the other truck. Not a great deal but decent considering it came fomr a dealer.

I didn't want a 5.3L because Rick wanted a 4.8L so he could scavange a crank and some stuff from it. No way in hell am I going to try and take a stock 5.3L or 4.8L and run 10s with it. LOL

Check out my other post. I'm doing a full built 370ci motor with race heads and other junk. $12k worth of BS going into this project and I havn't even started on the suspension yet. Hahaha
