Default Question for you guys

OK,I feel like a dumb *** but what exactly is a hydralic roller cam and a hydralic roller lifter?Sorry but I am tring to make sure that it is what I think it is.Sorry for the stupid question

ok in the old days the lifters were flat on the bottom where they mated to the cam. the lifters pump up with oil and act like hydraulics to push up the rockers and were a lot smoother. then they came out with roller lifters and cams. on a roller lifter they use a small wheel--roller--that runs on the cam. this makes it all work smoother and faster.
