Default Question about the new Ford trucks

This kid in town just got a brand new single cab long wheel base 4x4. I don't have a clue what motor. Should I waste my time trying to get a race with him, or is this thing as slow as the older models? I was just curious of the possible outcome. Race now, or wait until my stall and shift kit get here?

What are you time @ the strip? Even if ihe had the 300hp 5.4, I still think you can beat him. If it was a scsb 2x4 with the 5.4 watch out....

race that piece. I work in a Ford dealership and have driven those trucks and everyone seems slower than even my truck which runs high 15's. So just go ahead and hand him a kleenex before you race so that he can start crying while your tailgate gets smaller.

Not related ... but am I the only one that thinks those things are *** ugly? Who in the free world would want a 9" belt buckle with Ford of all things plastered on their tailgate in an indented mark so that you can't remove it? Damn ... what were they thinking?

Yeah, I haven't seen one I liked yet. I ran a 2002 single cab 4x4 the other night. Good grief, that thing is terrible. We put it on the gtech afterward it ran a low 17. It was a beast! This was before the programmer he bought, so I'm sure he's in the low 15s now.
