Default Question about gears

I have a question about gears. I have a 1995 sububran with a 4 inch suspension lift and 33 inch tires, and I was told at an offroad shop that if I got new gears it would help the gas mileage on my car. Would it really help if I got 3.73 instead of the 3.43(I think I have these) for the gas mileage?

Default Re: Question about gears

My boss has 35's on his Jeep... when he had stock gears he got bad miliage and a big loss of power. When he put 4.56's in he gained a lil more MPG and it gave him a big power difference, especially right off the line.
