Im wondering if the flat top pistons are causing too high of compression and the knock sensors are backing off the timing.

Ever get this figured out?

Not 100%. In the past few weeks i have put in a new fuel pump, changed the knock sensors had a complete tune done, TBSS intake and new 34" radiator and fans Monday of this week. The power seems to be there now but have not pulled boat yet to see. Engine temp has not been over 185 this week but then again it has only been around 102 this week. When outside temps get above 110 engine would get to about 225 or so. Can't wait for another 110+ day to test it out

Ever get the tune looked over?

He had only done a part tune until I got to 3k miles. He has now gone back in and did a complete tune and it runs really good. Just need to find some hills
