Problems with rear disc...

i have a 04 and with about 38k on it i had the rear caliper off to do a new stud and noticed only on the passenger side my brakes are wearing...
Inside pad on the single caliper setup was almost gone and outside was fine, so the piston looks like it was sticking, I bleed the brakes and re greased everything so ill see how it does, but i was wondering if this was common...

There's an old TSB in reference to pre-mature rear brake pad wear, not sure if it applies to your year. It basically says that the rear brakes may wear pre-maturely due to crud, moisture, etc. splashing on the rear brake assemblies, creating rust, frozen sliders, etc. The fix is to install some rubber flaps in the fronts of the wheel well (where the front 2 support rods for the rear quarter are)

I know my original rotors flaked off. By the time the rear pads were 3/4 worn I had two thin bands of wear on the rear rotors approximately 3/8 inch wide. I had to buy two new rotors. Unfortunately for me they were $100 each since I have a SS and the rotors are larger. Also the rear calipers are two piston.
