It squeaks when i crank it up, doesnt get louder or quieter when i turn the wheel lock to lock. Fluid level is correct.

Have you changed the belt and the belt tensioner?

Yea i just put a new Tensioner pulley on it.. but factory 7 year old belt.. The sound is coming from the PS Pulley i believe...

Ill get a belt monday.

The squeak is not there all the time, it comes and goes. I cannot figure out at what times it starts.... Say temperature or Rpm..

I have something similar to that. It groans a little when I turn the steering wheel a full turn. Can even feel it in the wheel a little. Mine was much worse until I flushed the system the groan in mine is comming from the stearing gearbox. I don't think it is in danger of breaking or anything, but it is frickin annoying. Some lucas power steering additive helped too but its kind of expensive. I am thinking about just replacing the gearbox one of these days.

I'd try the belt first, and while you have it off, check to see if there's any play in the p/s pump by wiggling the pulley. I've heard of a few guys having their pumps wear out. FWIW, I had to replace my gear box about a year ago due to the spool valve going bad (I had power assist in one direction only), now I'm noticing some noise from the pump, especially when cold, but I'm living with it until it becomes a major issue (funds are a bit tight).

I put a 30/70 mix of lucas and PSF in there. and i have taken the belt off and checked for any play in the Pulley,, there is no slack at all.
