Power steering noise only turning left??????
My 05' Yukon is having an issue with the power steering making noises, like a slight squeel. But its only when turning left. Right turns are fine. I though maybe its the belt, so I cleaned the pulleys and used some belt dressing. No change. Then I added a bottle of Lucas power steering stuff to stop the noise. Still no change. There are no visible leaks and everything is working fine. The hydroboost is fine as well.
Any ideas, this noise is driving me crazy!!!

Turns the same both ways, nice and smooth. I'm just getting the noise. No rubbing, I can have the wheels straight in park and just start to turn left, or pull the wheel slightly left and it makes the noise.

My truck has always made a slight "whistle" when I made a sharp parking lot type of turn...I think that it's probably the pressure releave(sp?) valve or something. I never paid enough attention to it to see if it only happens in one direction. I told the dealer about it when it was still under warranty, and, as what often happens, they couldn't verify the condition.

100% sure there is a bulletin about this exact problem. Depending on the type of steering gear its either install a small orficed fitting on the pressure line at the gear box or replace it with a box with a redesigned spool valve in it.
