ok then, i will be working on my truck tomorrow. i dont even know if it will spool the pt88 at all but we will find out. this is going to be fun!!

i will want to drive it for a week or tow just to enjoy it a little before i risk blowing it up again. when i do goto the dyno i will be shooting for the number 2 spot gen 3 on out list. that means 55orwhp or bust. i think it will do it.

Lot of damn work to have a little fun

BTW how do you get the back of the block lines up to the bellhousing without screwing up pump rotors by pressing the engine into the converter too hard and getting the litle pegs to go into the holes on the bellhousing? Just wonderin cause Ill be done this here in the next few weeks and you have done it a few times.

well, the 408 should only be down for a month or so but sometimes things take longer than you think they will. if i have the 4.8 in there i wont be in a hurry.

i am prety fast at swaping motors anymore. lots of practice. when you drop the motor in there is no fear of messing up the pump. i will never pull the converter off the tranny so it will be engauged. you just drop the motor into the hole, line up the pins, wiggle it in part ways, start some bolts, look at everything to be sure it is lined up right, draw the bolts down.

working by myself the hardest thing to do is keep all the wires out of the way. it is easy to snag one on the way in or out or pinch one betweed the bell housing and motor. just go a few inches at a time and then look at it to be sure it is clear, then go a few more inches....

Thanks I figured this was the way to do it just didnt pay close attention as to whether or not you could screw up and push the converter into the trans too hard and screw up a pump rotor I have already screwed up a pump rotor nd it sucks BAD.
