Plug wire clearance ???
#1
I'm having the local muff shop install my lt headers right now and they say theyre having a problem with the clearance on the plug wire. Or the wires sit on header. I dunno I'm not there right now. Can any1 tell me the issue or how to fix it????

It could be that the wires are too long. It could be the wires just need to be angled differently, coming off the coil.
I use the MSD wires for the Camaro/Corvette as they are shorter than the MSD truck wires. Works great.

I had similar problems on an 04 truck, used the MSD wires and it solved my issue.

Do you have round or square coils?
You can run LS1 MSD wires with the round coil packs if you don't want much slack in the wires.
It also depends on if the problem is the boot or the wire itself making contact.
