I was wondering around on ebay and seen a couple 6.0s they were 99-00 with the long flange crank and iron heads. I just wonder how many folks get fucked buying those near worthless engines, they arent hardly worth the shipping cost.

I remember a thread a while back where someone got one of those, but I can't remember who. There was someone in the classified section selling a freshly rebuilt one a while back too...

I got one! Posted a pic cause I was so happy and Parish8 said...HOLY CRAP WRONG CRANK! I called the dude up at the hotel he was staying at, returned engine, got refund. I was lucky. The guy who bought the other 99 engine didn't call the seller back before he went back to TX. The seller didn't know they were wrong and was trying to make sure the other guy knew what he had just bought and had delivered. He tried. The buyer is going to go forged on it so the crank didn't matter but aren't the heads different as well? I know they are iron but do they flow the same? Anyway, I would have paid $1500 for an engine that was worth $200

The long snout crank cant be used with the 60es and 80e transmissionis. Pusshes the converter too far into the trans and will break the pump rotor. Plus iron heads suck unless using a turbo and towing where you need the heat handling capapbility.
