Default passenger door rattle noise?

ok, i'm going on 43k miles and small problems are starting to happen. one of them happen to be the passenger door rattling. i'm not sure if it's a busted speaker or what. but every time i hear it, the passenger window is up. and if the window is all the way up and i hold the passenger power window button to make the window go up again, the vibrating/rattling noise will stop. it's almost as if the speaker is blown and pushing the power window button draws current away from the speaker, not letting it rattle. anyone got a solution or should i make a trip to the dealer?

if i turn the radio down or off, the noise goes away. and come to think of it, the resonation of my exaust has caused the rattle in the door a few times as well. you're ventured guess seems more valid than mine. preciate the feedback, helps out alot!

I would think that the power window motor wouldn't have any power draw in relation to the speakers, since they get their signal from the audio head unit. If you have the radio completely off or on, does it make a difference either way?

I'm gonna venture to guess that when you hold the power switch up, it is providing current to the power window motor which, in turn, is providing just enough torque to the window to seal the rattle. When the motor is not being powered, it is coming to rest between teeth in the mechanism, and that amount of play is just enough to relax that tension on the window.

If that is the case, you might be able to take it to the dealer and have them adjust it (assuming you're under warranty), but you might have a hard time convincing them that it's a problem, since it's such a fine tune kind of thing. I know how annoying it can be though!

I hope that helps a little bit!

Travis
