Well im kinda in a battle of figuring out what mod to next. heads are just so damn expensive!!! I have nitrous but dont really like it like i thought i would. Mods are LS1 - 228R/112 - LS6 Intake - P&P TB - S&B CAI - LT's - TCI 3800 - shift kit - servos - trutrac - 4.11's - UD pulley. Best time to date is 12.66 @ 103 with a 1.73 60' in warm (70*) weather on a well preped track. I tried the nitrous one night and weather and track prep sucked N/A 1.77 60' - 12.88 @ 103 / Nitrous (100 shot) 1.76 60' 12.31 @ 108 spun pretty bad. Your input would help alot on what to do now and if i should keep the nitrous and make it hook. Also how would stock 243's perform 1/4 wise.
Ohh yea how much would raising the shifts from 6200 up to 6600 first, 6500 second????

My .02. Is this your DD? Budget? What's your goal(s)? An ET in mid 12s is nothin to sneeze at. I don't have a vehicle quicker than 14.0 unless maybe...anyway, I've been in a 10sec & 12sec. cars. A 14.0sec FBody or lil slower in my truck, & even @ my ETs, I say address traction. A light hind end of a truck + HP = wheelhop/ traction problems. Do it either w/ suspension &/or tire. Unless another performance goodie is what u want( which worsens hooking). U are running out of boltons, heads are 1 of the few you have left. They're not cheap, but neither is FI. Or this hobby we all love. As for shift pts., contact Norcal or find that thread, he's posted alot on it. He's into that bigtime. Good luck.

I would keep the nitrous and leave a 75 shot on it on motor tune for a rainy day (street wise)....As for hooking at the track on the juice, good luck, every truck is diff. I know mine won't hook cause it's not doing so on motor. Getting a controller so you easy into the nitrous would work since you are hooking on motor.
By looking at your setup and 1/4 mile time, I would concentrate on the motor times/setup 1st, then work on the nitrous. Your mph should be a little higher 105-107 range....I would defenetly raise your shiftpoints to at least 6600, could prob. go a little higher (ls6 intake helps), but a dyno will help you identify where they would be best at. Are you locking your converter at WOT in 3rd gear? if so @ what mph?
