oil pressure issue need help asap

Default oil pressure issue need help asap

i final got my truck back from the dyno shop had it for about a week and now i notice that my oil pressure gauge reads around 20 but dosent pass 40 psi at wot whats wrong i need help...asap

Did they install cam? If so it's possible that the O ring got pinched, common problem. Otherwise your pump could be dying. I wouldn't run the engine myself until I got this taken care of...don't want to lose a motor over no oil pressure

yeah they install a cam wheres the o-ring im new at this sorry for sounding stupid

i have the same problem, cam installed 2 summers ago tho. at wot mine is around 60. it use to shoot right up to 80 though.

The o-ring for the oil pump pick up tube...if they had to remove or replace the oil pump.

or if they banged a cam bearing...and spun it, then you will lose pressure. check the drain plug. if it did happen you want to get the cam out, it might be savable????
