Default Oil Pressure ?

Stock 2004 5.3L

What kind of oil pressures should I be seeing?? Gettin about 25 at warm idle, up to 45ish under more than average throttle, and at cruising speed about 35.

Just wondering if this is in spec. Worried because I'm getting "Check Oil Level" warning about 2000 miles after oil change, for the second time...I assume she's burning it off in her old age 160K Plus miles

TIA

Most guys report seeing between 35-45psi on the factory gauge at warm idle and over 60 at WOT...my gauge pegs at 80 when it's colder at WOT, and I see over 40psi warm idle. Your numbers are within spec, but lower than what seems to be the norm for these trucks.

Could be due to low oil I assume...Going to top it off today and check pressure again. Thanks!

My 2005 has a GM reman new L33 motore. 25psi at warm idle and 40ish or a little above between 70-75mph. 40ish or a tad under 55-65. Cold Iowa mornings I hit 60 just taking it easy so I'm sure I'd peg if I got on a cold engine.

Been this way since motor was replacedby GM just under 6000 miles ago and the psi is pretty much same as original motor.
