I can't get my 2000 to reset? I did the peddle press 5 times...no dice. Tried it 5 times and then turn the key off still no dice...

 

THREE TIMES!! THREE! turn key on, pump gas (be sure to go WOT) THree times. oil lamp will flash. turn key off.

 

oh yeah... i swapped pcm's also. thanks for the reminder, it all makes sense now

 

my 02 is the same way?
i press 3Xs,4Xs,5,6,etc etc etc etc. still will not reset
i have noticed that when i change the oil in my daily which is 97 RCSB i do it at 3-4k. my 2002 light comes on,thats if i can get it to reset.the 2002HD light will come on before i need to change the oil in my 97 rcsb.
my 2002HD does get alot of stops and starts,my wife drives it about 5 miles to work and all the running around she does locally. i know the trucks needs to be ran real good to get up to operating temp,so on the weekends i put the ringer to it. so i dont see where i need too be changing the oil so religiously. although i do, change do it religiously!
hell my oil bill around my house is "HIGH$$$$".

on my 03 its press three times wait 5to 10 seconds then press 2 more times

 

still no luck with mine.
i just change the oil at 3K,and i dont worry about the light.
any new updates?
