I'm thinking about buying a ski, Sea-Doo RXP or T, whichever one is the 2 seater. Anyone know any good message boards or any good info on these things?

Go for the RXP. There is a huge aftermarket for them already so making it one fast *** ski is easily obtainable. A couple of the sites I am on are www.seadoo.net (crappy board format but good info) and www.pwctoday.com

I got a chance to ride a completely stock SeaDoo RXP this past weekend, absolutely insane 700lbs & 215hp supercharged 70mph top end is almost instant from any speed, and I thought the 2 stroke XP I rode a couple years ago was fast, it's a slug compared to these.

Nail it from a dead stop & it will rip your arms off and will literally jump completely out of the water, & turns like it's on rails. And it sounds absolutely wicked, exhaust note, blower whistle and all. The owner (my buddies bro in law) was telling me that there are modified ones in the mid 80's!! If you can fork over the 10 grand they want for one they are awesome. He picked up his RXP and RXT with trailer for 16G's, both slightly used, the RXP had XM stereo and a water proof speaker installed by the original owner, too cool!

I'm not gonna pay that much for one, period. Within 20 minutes of me walking out of the store, the chic called back and knocked off 1200. That tells me there's lots of room on it off MSRP (10.6). If I can get out from under my motorcycle and close to double the payment on it, I'll have one. They are gonna have to work at it though.

It has to be extensively modified to be in the mid 80's. Out of the box they are hitting mid-upper 60's. With a few boltons you will get in teh mid 70's. After that you have to go into the motor. Although 70 on a ski is no joke. I am running average 61mph (best is 63.2 GPS) on my 02 RXDI with nothing but an impeller. I plan on hitting close to 70 once I get my Level1 kit (head, mpem, flame arrestors, impeller) to be able to hang with some of the RXP's around here.
