OBX fmic

That's the price you pay for someone elses time... You of all people should know how expensive an intercooler kit costs. Go find a real FMIC kit for your truck and tell me how much it costs.
I paid almost $700 for the parts to do my kit and that was without tax and no labor nor cutting and fitting the parts. That was just the raw materials. Rick spent an easy 4+hrs cutting and welding my kit together.
On a side note, I'm going to call up a guy that is looking to buy the STS kit from my truck and I'm gonna see if he would be willing to buy your FMIC kit from ya since he also has a 4.8L (the Regency truck you saw at Rick's lst week). If he is game I'll have Rick give you a call so you guys can come to a happy agreement.
Here is one of the few pics I have of where we cut my "frame".

I hesitate to call it FRAME because it actually only holds the bumper up and there is plently of support frame behind the cut. You'd have to really look under there to see what i mean. I had reservations as well but after seeing how it was done I wasn't sweating it.
Notice all the fram behind the cuts? The only thing in front of it is the bumper.

The other option is to set it up like Fullthrottledan did. His location is pretty impressive and much neater than mine.

Honestly man I dont think its a bad deal at all. I wouldve done it if it wouldve fit my vortech setup. I paid about $300 for the intercooler, $200 for piping but may need more, $70 for couplers, I think about $30 in T bolt clamps. The welder I got for the job was near $500, about $100 -$120 for gas, $20 for wire, $20 for blades, I may need to buy a stronger sawzall.
Im counting on spending more since Im sure I'll mess up some piping.

This was not hard to to mount the fmic, and really easy to cut through the core support. Gets good air flow as well.
