Default Noisy CalTracs

Well it's been a while since I have had my caltracs installed and they are beginning to get to me. They are noise when riding on bumby roads and do tend to quete down a bit when they are preloaded but then my ride will be stiff as hell. I like for my ride to be noise free except for my exhaust. Have any of you all tried anything to quaet them down?

I run mine with a good amount of preload, so it never really clacks back and forth. Although, I think a good idea would be to get some fuel or water heater hose and stick the stopper bolt in there, and put it back. Basically, it will be wrapped in the rubber hose, that way when it hit the leaf it wont make so much noise? would that work maybe?

Maybe Chingon will chime in on this one. I put some fuel hose on his to keep em quiet. Not sure if it worked or not.

Well, they are quiet for the most part, on smooth roads, but when I'm driving over speed bumps or just bumpy roads, forget it...CLANK CLANK CLANK!

Is there a limit on how much preload there should be? Because mine are cranked down about 3 full turns after they touch. I took off my helper/overload spring, and now with the caltracs.. I can actually adjust how high the rear end can go up. Right now it sits about level with 3 full turns. And plus I dont bottom out anymore.
