Exclamation No start after transmission swap

got my transmission built this week. Replaced everything today and I’m getting no start. Dash lights up but no crank. Battery is good, starter seems to be getting current, and the neutral safety switch on the trans seems to be working if the reverse lights are lighting up? Any ideas? Everything seems to be back in place. No security light either. Just my daily 4.8 with a Wheatley tune.

No crank or no start?

If it cranks, check for spark and fuel. Make sure you didn't miss a ground strap on the back of the engine/transmission.

No crank, can’t seem to find if I missed anything down there.

make sure you didn't pinch the harness at the top of the bellhousing. it's easy to do.

If you or someone unplugged or tried to unplug the PRNDL switch on the transmission it could be faulty. The factory glues those connectors together and trying to remove them will damage the switch.

You could also check the ignition switch wiring where it meets the drivers side fuse panel. If you remove the knee bolster( long plastic cover just below the steering wheel ) and look to the left you will see the back side of fuse panel and the first connector bunch should be part of the ignition switch power wiring, check to make sure all is good, and depending on year it should be a yellow or green? wire that is directly related to the starting circuit. Good luck

Think that yellow wire was the only wire not getting power yesterday. going to check today again to make sure. We started it directly and it started. Thanks!

Well, it was a wire from the neutral switch plug. Wire had been torn off. Thanks everybody for the help. Just need to get it adjusted since it starts in neutral now and sometimes park.

Ahh the PRNDL switch... yep that's the first place to look after a trans swap.
