Default No Smoke!

I poured about 1/3 to 1/2 a can of Sea Foam through the brake booster line that goes to the back of the intake manifold. It didn't smoke any that I could notice.

It's the truck in sig and has 31k on it.

Intake not oily?

That happens sometimes...I'm sure the intake was oily (they all are lol), but maybe the seafoam/oil just vaporized efficiently or something along those lines? When I used to do BG induction services at the dealership, some cars would smoke like hell, while I didn't notice a thing on others...not 100% sure why.

Quick question, you did the seafoam while the engine was in operating temp correct? If not, it may not have been warm enough to "soften" up the carbon build up and will not be as effective as if the engine was warm.

dont worry, it did something. Personally, I don't see a reason to seafoam at 31K, but hey, to each his own, I guess. Pour the rest in the gas, and don't worry about it for another 50K

It should've been fully warmed-up. I think it was running for at least ten minutes. I guess it wasn't oily enough to smoke much. It probably smoked some and was hard to see because it was pretty bright and sunny at the time.

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't get very much smoke out of my Sierra. It was warmed up, it had 60k miles, and Gutted cats. I have always used synthetic oil and I use techron concentrate ever oil change. I honestly don't think it helped any, I have a friend who used it in three of his vehicles and he feels the same way. We both noticed an improvement right after using it but it didn't last long.

I did mine at 30k and it smoked like a freight train, I thought the neighbors were going to call 911.
