if I could have done it again I wouldn't have gotten my ecsb. I love it to death, but I'm more inspired buy getting into it's engine now and single cabs are so much easier to get into the 12's than an extended cab.

To get a RCSB with the options I wanted, I had to order it. Did a 500 mile search and still couldnt find 1. The main things I was pick about was the 5.3, 3.73 rear, and G80, with a back sliding glass and had to be blue.....so I had to order and got a few more options. Its not just Maine or a certain place, people dont want them.

i wouldnt call that picky* (if that was what you meant) thats just knowin what ya want, i wanted the same thing cept black, i was to late to order mine though, couldnt order a classic anymore, so i had to settle for something used and diff from exactly what i wanted, which was a total let down
so i waited and waited and waited
then one day i saw my gray gmc adn the next weekend drove (which isnt far) 2.5 hrs... what can ya do though, just be patient
now that i look back on it though im glad i didnt buy something brand new, ida payed about $20,000 for the new classic silvy i wanted where as i bought my gmc bout 3 months ago and only owe bout $8500 on it

That was the glory of me waiting for delivery, b/c I didnt owe any money until it got here. It helped scrounge enough moola for a large enough down payment to minimize my payments. bought it new in 04, 22,000 - 0 miles and now only owe $9000 and have only paid 275/month for it. But at the same time, I know what yer sayin. I say picky, cuz those were the options I couldnt find anywhere.

While I was shopping for my truck I came across several rcsb's. I saw a few brand new for 14,900 with the redtag discount. Thats not bad considering it'll still come with a 100k warrenty. However they were all base packages. Its impossible to walk on a lot and a find a rcsb with a v8 and all the other options you'd want.

Try shopping dealers online, perhaps you can buy over the net and talk them into shipping the truck to you.

It took me a while to find my truck too. Found one with low miles, a V8, and a good price. When I finally got down there I thought it was just a 4.8L (99% of them were especially when they're 2WD), and it turned out to be a 5.3L, I nice little surprise.

an even harder find is one like seeingred has, a RCSB BASE model with 5.3, 3.73's, and G80. Its the only one I've ever seen with those options. It made for one light quick truck too.
