If ur AC was off for a long while this fix sometimes works, as thats usually caused by stuck accumulator doors. yours sounds more like pressure switch to me. I had my head unit replaced, but from what GM tells me, thats rarely the prob. R/

Could be a bad clutch coil. Unplug the AC compressor clutch coil connector. On the compressor side, connect 12v to one pin and then touch the other to ground. Your clutch should engage. If not you need a new coil.
