2wd reg cab shorty. 12bolt stock cube forged 6.0l, 4l80e, A single 91, a real one t-6 thumper or twin 67's. Now you have a easy 8second truck without the problems of trying to get the front tires to hook up and not break stuff up front.

Jim so god help me if you get rid of that blue truck. You could do alot more with it, have the cage extended to a 12pt, add a bigger or two 76 trim turbos, more nitrous, more boost, there's endless possibilities. If you change your mind. Im thinking something like a canyon/colorado with an LS1 408 but plz i beg dont get rid of the blue truck that got me into trucks. out of curiousity how much would you want?

if i could get $50k for it i would probably sell it. use that money to build a garage, then the next project. i know typicaly you loose your *** on moded stuff but since my truck has seen a lot of coverage maybe someone would pay that?
i wonder how much more power the motor can take. i have to be geting close to the limit of what it can handle and still last awhile. i will probably keep the truck but just back off a little on the rate of cash i am throwing at it.
i am prety sure my track would let me run a ways into the 9's without freeking out. hmmmm.

I say fix what's wrong w/it and dont' sink anymore money into it, get the 9 second run, then just drive it and have a little fun with it and wait for someone to buy it. After a couple months if nobody is interested go a little bigger, run a little faster, knock the price up a little more. and keep doing that over and over and over, eventually u'll get into the 7's and have an asking price of $100k...

Ill trade you a Colorado for your truck
lol JK man. That truck is an icon, every time I see a newer blue chevy truck, I think of your truck. Any one that can make a daily driver 4500 pound truck run low 10's and all the knowledge and tuning that goes along with it has got some talent. I know that what ever you decide to do, you will be great at it. If you do let it go, before you let it go, pull a 9.xx and post some more street videos of u pickin on some street cars, I just love those.

I hate to think of the blue truck going away. But I could see this coming...
My vote for powerplant in the Colorado: 4.2l inline six!!! BIG TURBO and a shot of Nitrous to get-r-spooled. More interesting and less explored powerplant than the LS1, although the LS1 is a nice, known quantity.
Still can't believe Jim put together an LS1 that not only moves the truck into the 10.0s, but it will also move a gross vehicle weight of 9000 lbs (truck + trailer) at 70-80mph and get over 12mpg!!! Isn't that pretty good for ANY gas engine to do???
