Talking new shaver

my girlfriend got me an early Christmas present, one of those self cleaning braun syncro's. well i didn't know this until we were watching seinfeld and this commercial for the new remington titatium triple head self cleaning shaver comes on. my jaw dropped cause this thing looked sweet and she saw my reaction and asked if i liked it. i said yeah, what's not to like. and she says, well i hate to ruin this for you but i got you the braun syncro you liked. i told her that any shaver was very thoughtful and i'd be happy no matter what. she then proceeded to get my truck keys and so we can go to wal-mart to return the braun for the remy and she was more than happy to pay a little more for it. so anyways, i tried this thing out...gold stars all the way across. it shaves as good as my mach3 turbo without the cuts in less time. two thumbs up!

Hmm...it shaves as good as the Mach? Wow, I use the regular Mach...I've see the Mach turbo commercials..how are they?

I never liked the electric shavers because they never cut as nice as a good ol knife
Maybe I'll have to try this one...

nah, she didn't get mad. i told her i'da been perfectly happy with the braun and that i appreciated the gift very much. but it was her idea to go and get the remy, and i kept insisting but so did she. as far as how close this thing shaves, well it gets as close as you're gonna get goin electric. i've had a few of the electric shavers and you're right, they do pull. but with this thing you can barely feel it against your face. this is the only rotary shaver with the self cleaning alcohol stuff. and yes it does have the mustache/sideburn trimmer. oh yeah and the model is the R-9500. i don't think the other models have the self cleaning feature. but here's a link and a pic.

I have the Braun syncro. That thing is sweet. It does a very close shave, no pulling at all -ever, and has a trimmer thing too. The self cleaner is great, but it is not as quiet as they make it out to be when it is cleaning.

Yes,. But how do they do on the twins? It hurts like hell if you cut them. And the after-shave; Now I know why they call it Brut.

I used the Mach3 turbo for a while because I got the cartridges last Christmas and it cut my face up everytime!!! The regular Mach3 worked much better. Now I have switched to Schick Quatro with 4 blades. The biggest advantage is the lubricating strip. On my Mach3 the strip would be gone in 3 shaves. This one lasts more like 6!! Good to hear electrics are getting better though. I might try one some day
