Default New Radiator.....WTF!!!!

Hey fellas...I just bought a radiator from he 2500 6.0 non HD. It came from parts vendor instead of a yard, so i got it brand new. This thing is huge, it does not fit at all. What gives? Are there 2 different style 2500's or something? Or did they just send the wrong part all together?

It might be a Dmax or 8.1L radiator. I THINK they use a bigger one than the 6.0L.

I just looked it up and the 8.1L 2500HD has a 37" core radiator. I've never heard of a 6.0L truck having the BIG radiator, interesting.

You know I was kinda wondering how things were going with your truck, been a while since you did the swap but, hadn't heard much.

Maybe you could make the next track meet if all the right parts come in.

Hell yeah I can...Ihave another issue though =(. Last week I posted about the misfire code and how i got it to go away by plugging in the correct fuel flow and reconnecting the pcv hose to the vavle cover and intake. Well after about two hours of driving i noticed:
1. Overheating (200-218)
2. Check engine light (Missfire Code P0300)

So, I bought the radiator which is the right one now I had them measure it before they sent it this time. For the code that i have I decided air leaks might not be the problem now that i plugged them all for sure!!! So I read up a little on the search engine about the code and someone suggested it might be a bad coil. I bought a timing gun as well because of this. He stated that the timing gun will still flash the light everytime the coil you hold it in front of fires. All I have to do now is find the one or more that are firing irregularly. I will definitely keep you posted on this one

On the good side though, I was doing some scan and tune in VE. Well you know how we are I put it down as far as the floor board would let me On the EFi Scanner ( I know its not a real dyno but...) I put out 520 ftlbs and 670hp. When I scanned my old setup, i was only seeing 370lftb's and 334hp!! So scanned against my own "dyno" if you will, I dominated my old nmbers on a low compression motor

The 34" core radiator should make a nice difference over the stock 28"er that was in there. Let us know how it does and if you figure out your other problems.

Check out the Eastern section, we have a meet coming up at Capital at the end of November. I'm also still out in FFX just about every day if you want to meet up sometime.
