For me its electrical field service tech. I'll ALWAYS be on call to go troubleshoot and fix different drilling instruments. Alot of the rigs are computer monitored and have so much equipment. I could be gone 20 days, come home for one night and get called away for another 20 days. Or I could get 20 days off in a row, though I doubt that will happen.

This job requires "up to 80% travel", meaning you could be gone from home out on job sites 80% of the year. Thats where the high pay comes from. Its not an easy job, or a job anyone with family could do.

You could start out as a hand and make about 70-80k with no experience. After a couple years move up and make more.
